it's quite bad apprently, all you do is cold call people, and 95% of the time you get told to fuck off... it doesnt sound bad but try doing it for 8 hours a day...
I spend about 5 hours of my day cold calling manufacturing companies and Ive done other jobs where Ive done it all day. I dont find it too bad. The comission is always good (if you can sell) but if I couldnt sell I wouldnt like it
bt does cold calling as well as inbound.......yeah u get told to fuck off but then u just set a call back or wait for them to hang up so they get another call b4 the days out & hopefully they'll b really pissed off after that call!!!
BT doesnt do proper cold calling. Proper cold calling normally entails lists of phone numbers out of directories of people that have nothing to do with the company you work for. At least with BT, the people who're called are customers, so that gets your foot in the door a bit. I have to generate all my own leads from scratch. Trawling through phone books, online directories, classifieds in newspapers etc
