The Forth R.I.P.? My mate from leeds just called up sayin that "what's this about The Forth being burned down!! Is this true
Re: The Forth R.I.P.? what!!! Hope not... just seen local news on BBC and nothing on there :spangled:
The Ford - I believe this is a small section of water But seriously, I mean The Forth Hotel - just up from Gotham Town. Great pub, in recient years it has been done out - although I feel in doing so it has lost some of it's old charm - it's still a sound drinking hole. I've spent god knows how many nights in there gettin pissed Anyway, anyone know if it has burned down...
It only showed the outside & from looking @ it, I would say yes. I have been on icnewcastle.com & cant find the story but it deffo did happen.
hasn't newcastle learnt NOT to fuck around with its buidlings after the disaster that was the 50's???
i once got twatted of a mob of millwall outside the forth(many moons ago) which resulted in 11 stiches in my napper so I wont miss it
Unlucky m8 For a bar that did not employ bouncers I never saw any fights in there. For a time, they sold a glorious pint of lowenbrau
dont think it was to do with the pub, more like the football RIP forth, was canny for a drink before clubbing
The Forth was a glorious pub. It was one of the few places in town where you could have a drink away from pretentious chicken head house music lovers. It was the same atmos as Head of Steam. No doubt another bar will rise like phoenix from the ashes.
I work just opposite there, they've got loads of posters outside "saying ring this no. for more info about our glorious reopening" or words to that effect.
