went into my local 'fat dog records' in boro today and it was shut up, but the owner let me in to have a look as they had been totally cleaned out last night!

some pikeys had kicked the back door in and totally raided it, the few vinyl that were left were scattered all over the floor, and 2 x 1210s, a mixer, cdj1000, speakers, amps, cd recorders etc etc were all gone without trace, as was the delivery of UDG bags they just got which i presume the scumbags had the cheek to fill up with their loot and do off with too!

felt really sorry for the guys as they are doing a really good job too!

no..but they have a hardcore/spanish techno section, and they also sell tapes and cds from the w/e raves, they make a lot of money from the pure scumbags that buy them, but i would guess one of them will be behind it!

the money is even that they will all turn up in cash converters later this week though!

i'm insured for the decks and stuff but it would be impossible to replace all the records! scarey thought!

my mates cars been screwed twice in 2 weeks at the same place.
a house next door to daves got broken in the day before.
i got set about when i went for a burger at macdonalds.

I was born in boro and have lived in the area for all my life barring term time up in toon, and i've never once been started on or been in any serious trouble in middlesbrough. I'm not hard looking either so I don't think many people would be scared of me.

Yes its not the nicest place in the world but it really isn't as bad as its made out. I take the piss out of it sometimes but I think I have a right. What happened in that shop is a disgrace and I feel for the people affected, but is this an act that is uniform to boro? I think not, almost everywhere will encounter problems like this, even newcastle.

Also, I see far more charvers and beggars in newcastle than I ever have in middlesbrough. Before coming to uni I had only once been asked for money in boro, wheras in newcastle I get asked almost every time i'm in town. It is a bit hypocritical for people to slag off boro when everywhere else has the same problems.

Sorry to rant but I think I should stick up for where i'm from
