lol...well i sort off see what you mean there but you dont tend to refer to africans as a paki really..... The point of it is, is that it's because of where they are from that they get called that in the first place. Ie. Pakistan etc.
and therefore it follows that its only uneducated fuckwits in the uk would describe someone as a paki (99.9% if not 100% of the time in a rascist manner), as no one with a bit of common sense would try to differentiate an indian and a pakistani on looks alone. Hence people will think that the term paki is rascist.
What program was this? I haven't heard anything about it...is it s series or a 2-part thing, or just a one off? It sounds interesting. It well pisses me off people going on about "fuckin pakis coming n taking our jobs"....about 75-90% of the people at work have this attitude and it gets right on my nerves One of the worst is a senior manager, and he's always on about "darkies" coming into the store so he got the security guard to follow them around....and his reasoning? "Well he's a fuckin paki....he'll be tekin the benefits from our tax then nickin stuff from the shops so he can pay for drugs n shit with the benefit money" HOW FUCKING ARROGANT
PMSL @ the pure ignorance in this thread! its got FUCK ALL to do with 'middle england' - racism takes its form in different ways in every country at every level... its not just a white /middle class/ english problem.. i know no ones said exactly that but its the impression you get from reading this...
wen i started college i walked past a group of asians saying how they were going to kill all the white people in the college.....i was shitting myself
true. away from that... as an example - what is deemed the least socially acceptable of these three situations- black person being racist to pakistani/white person pakistani person being racist to black/white person white being racist to pakistani/black person or to show my point even better - white man being racist to pakistani woman pakistani woman being racist to white man
to me, all of them are wrong, but to many people (sometimes those in the minority group being attacked) rascism is only in the form of the majority being rascist to the minority (where the reverse is obviously"self defence"), which in our country's case is the white to any other ethic group
i enjoy how it's ok to call someone a jock ****, but if someone is called a paki **** everyone screams racism.
Paki means exactly the same as jock would... both refer to counries and not skin colour/religion etc... this country is far too pc anyway... I say burn the do-gooders
but the whole point of calling someone a paki was that chances are the person's not even from pakistan... And whoevers doing the calling wouldnt have a clue if he was from there or any other middle eastern country.
That just shows the persons ignorance and lack of intelligence Although i'm not saying if you're going to be racist, at least get the slurs correct... but if someone can't even insult properly it completely voids their whole slant. The only people truely worthy of the abuse they get are the french... I don't care if people disagree cos i've met one decent french person in my life. The rest are ****s.
Have you only met one French person in your life? We had this French exchange thing a few years back at school, and I found them all to be decent people. It's like the so many people who "hate" Americans. They assume that just because they see some stereotypical Americans in movies/programs, that they're *all* like that. Annoys me @ Juski - Completely agree, it's what we covered a lot in Geography/Economics, the fact that immigrants happily work in shit jobs for low pay which tbf the general public of Britain wouldn't want to do. Yes, people are being educated about this...but who? Us! Students....there needs to be some way of getting this information across to people in their 30s-40s who work in an environment around other like-minded people reading their Daily Stars/Mirrors/Suns/Sports Also, half of our generation are composed of ignorant people (ie. most charvas) who are going to grow up uneducated about the benefits of immigration & (not wanting too much to bring this into it) more integration with the EU. Britain isn't getting "better educated"....it's getting divided into two groups...the "mostly educated"...people like a lot of us on the board who know both benefits and costs of immigration, etc. and can summarise an intelligent opinion (whether other people agree or not), and people who are "under educated"...people who truant from high school, have stupid parents who have no jobs and sit around in a scum-filled council flat (no offence to people living in a council house...I used to..well I still do, but it's not a council house anymore)...who pretty much agree to anything that the tabloids/media throw at them. Education = , unfortunately a lot of people miss out on it. Arrest the parents of kids who truant too much! ...whoops...a bit off topic
dobbs your talking bolox get your head out your arse. this is the real world... 95% of the people who ive met on this board could be described as racsist yet come on here with all this super left wing gobble... notice how i said 'could be descibed as rascist' tom
I have been to france several times and met many frogs and found them to be arrogant and unfriendly... experience counts for everything in my opinion. Of course they aren't all ****s... but I still don't like them. Fuck me i'm a bigot What tom said is very true... stop living in cloud cuckoo land and realise people are hypocritical twats, especially on here
OK, well I've never been to France, well I have...but only passed through But in my little experience of French people I had no problem with them And Tom may be right about people being 'hypocritical twats' on here, but you know as well as I do that I hardly know people on the board, so all I have to go off is what they say on here...which is unfortunate if they're all talking bollocks And in response to Juski...yeah, it's true a lot of what people learn they learn from their parents, which is exactly why they need to know more than what they do! Obviously I'm not talking about all parents! But, for example, mine have very little real knowledge about what's going on with the EU and immigration laws and such. My dad's daily newspaper is the Daily Star, my mam doesn't read newspapers, she watches the 6-o-clock news. And when I said "education" I didn't just mean like in school, I meant educated by whatever means...school, news, by older people (parents, aunties/uncles, older brothers/sisters, etc.) Though I'm getting into more on people not liking "foreigners" for taking jobs/getting benefits, whereas (I think) this thread began more about people being plain racist. I don't get how in this modern age, people can still not like people simply because of their skin colour or country of origin. Racism is derived from having a lack of common sense
its amazing how many middle eastern/asian people are racist and deeply dislike others from neighbouring areas to where they them selves come from... seen that a fair bit around britford in gereral stereotypes don't work, a cock is a cock no matter where there ethnic origin is.
dobbs we go to a uni with 4000+ foriegn students, ive lived with french, german, spanish, italian, cypriot, gahanain, greek and chinese people... ive worked in a foriegn country with american, mexican, peurvian, ecuadorian, pueto rican, coloumbian, haitian, venuzualan, slovakian, bulgarian, polish, scottish and chinese people... (wheres my medal? ) if anyones got direct experience of foriegn cultures and people its us...
But you have to be careful with that. As soon as you say someone's a cock, and they happen to be of African/Asian origin, people assume that you're racist. Happened to me at work...people called me racist because there was this **** who I fucking hated who happened to be black. I hated him because he was an arrogant fucker who only did things for himself and was always in a bad mood. The number of times I had to explain that to people when they called me racist
