    First heard Matt play sometime around autumn 98 ish, one of the Gatecrasher birthdays...first time I'd been to the club. I've never heard him play a shit set but I wasn't keen when he went into the progressive style, about the time that they ruined Gatecrasher with the likes of Sander K and Tomi Maas etc. I think the bloke is class. Although I'm a big Bondy fan, I can say that I've heard him play some shit sets...but I just like the bloke.
    I also feel that Matt was supressed by Simon Raine etc., I've seen him get some shit slots at the club...leaving was a good move for Matt.;)

    He has been shit on many a time by Gatecrasher IMO !

    Festivals playing 5pm in afternoon to 1/4 full tents then come the end of the festival in the main tent someone like Fergie is ending :rolleyes:

    NEC Events early on there, tho i have seen him end !

    Gatecrasher @ Republic he's played well too early sometimes but same goes again cos i have seen him tear the place apart at the end !

    Whatever he was given tho he was happy with and he says himself that he's happy to build things up but thats just Matt Hardwick and shows how versatile he is !

    mentioned on his board the other day he used to enjoy playing early if he got to do a long warm up set so he cud play proggier and deeper and experiment

    new idea.....

    DEFO!!!!!:D i make the effort to see matt as i would any 'a list' dj tbh, so many times @ crasher when hes made the warm up sets better than the headliner, and at promise hes always amazing!! :love:

    we need another 'matt solo' at promise, the two longer sets ive seen have both blown me away, what a legend :love: :p

    I've been to both, but sadly can't remember the 2nd one cause I got very, very, very drunk before I went, and I think I eventually got chucked out!:oops: :lol:
