    Silver cleaner........

    .......what is the best way to do it? I have got a lovely chain, but it's looking a bit dirty atm (no it's not a nasty horrible cheap one I got from holiday:p ), and I want it cleaned! What can I use? Do you need proper silver cleaner or something?:confused: :dunce:

    im sure you can take it to a jewelers and they'll do it for you, or you can buy the cleaning stuff from them which works fine, but stinks lol :up:

    My mam put it in soapy water yesterday, but it didn't really work. Want it looking like brand new again!

    i dunno if you want it perfect take it their and get it done by them, but remember itll be dirty before long again, so id recommend getting the acual cleaning stuff and it'll save money on having to take it back every so often, it worked for mine :)

    Old wives tale......put gold in a glass of coke over night and the fizzyness takes the dirt away apprently

    dunno if its the same for silver.

    ps. dont drink the coke afterwards!

    Bicarbonate of soda?

    Coke is definately ok for gold, should be for silver as I'm 75% certain jewellers use acid baths for both... :)
