I heard of a club havin an afternoon where they give dj lessons for those who wanna bit more help, £10 a head or someit
I can't see how that would make any money though, with all due respect (and this is not sarcasm in the slightest), I can't see too many people paying a few quid extra on top of the £12 they have already paid just for that. Maybe if it was open to a less exclusive amount of people it could work...in a sort of "think you can take us on?" type thing, where someone could pay a few quid and battle it out for a a few mixes.
i meant on a seperate night. Only a couple of quid entry, not on a promise night. I only used those people as a suggestion, to illustrate my point. More people could be good. Have rounds, winner stays on.
I reckon that could work, would be a good laugh having a mix of styles etc. It would be canny if the other nights at Foundation would get involved in some way too, that would bring more people in.
Yeah like the Dance for Sudan thing. Could be a Dance for Childrens Cancer or something like that Infact, the nights could even get together and start a Monthly/Bi-Monthly event and call it "Dance For....." with a different charity each time!
And to add to that, just get local lads on who will do it for free, and give pretty much all the profits to a good cause The fact that it is a charity event should be enough to get people in.
For sure, like I said earlier I'm up for anything liek that. Whether it be playign or just lending a hand
would make a packet. or even demote the dude from the toilet who cleans hands and stick your own fella in their for a night. dress him up aswel to appeal to the 'loved up' people and bobs your uncle
all the young guns, dj competition are rubbish ideas imo! all the djs who would end up playing already play (and plug themselves too much on here) at numerous nights in newcastle anyway so you might as well donate those profits to charity to be honest! i think mark wants ideas not involving promise/foundation as much
Should definitely do more for charity. I don't have any ideas off the top of my head but will have a think, some good suggestions so far. I have a swear box at work for charity and my bank account is feeling the strain.
5 a side footy comp involving all the local nights that are put on in and around town, each team would have to pay to enter and each member of the team could get sponsors according to how far they get in the comp or how many goals they score.
Make the football more interesting 5 a side invlovling 10 people on each team.............3 legged football
That's what I was thinking! Plenty of people would go IMO. Everyone is a winner really. I would imagine Mark would want some sort of link to Promise? It's very good for public image!
And let tv, radio and news know about it.........make the council realise the people who go arent all wreckheads who just take drugs and were actually nice respectable people.........might get some late licences
