In petrol/pollution type terms what the government need to do is stop the sale of 4x4's to people who dont live in the country. Not along do they cane the petrol and hence release more fumes but they are a fucking liability on the roads in the hands of women.

hmmm, we have more leisure time on our hands now and a more disposable income than ever before in this country...

also bear in mind that places like australia are traditional boom and bust economies, where things turn sour very fast...

as for the getting us off the road thing- the government have been saying it for years its no secret - DETR/prescott never shuts his vile trap on the subject - but yet no matter how much the government suggest alternatives the public always whinge and rubbish the alternatives - as opposed to european countries like denmark who are very open to green technology and freeing cities of cars... the problem is the people of the country - you can't blame the country if the people snub every alternative that is put their way...

I lived in Cran Canaria for 7months a few year back! Tbf it was the best experience of my life, meeting new people, seeing how other people live etc ect.. I only came home because the new political party that was elected six month after arriving, clamped down on "Forgien" workers! Making it harder to find/keep work, as your employer had to pay a stupid amount for a licence for you!

I did miss my family, friends, decks and footy on a saturday but i knew if i was happy my family and friends would be happy for me!

Once my debt is payed off i'm looking to go away again

for all the people that said yeah id love too hate this place........

why you still here? it aint that hard to move abroad.

i had no cash not much clue what i was going into but just got up and fucked off to Spain. after a few months i was back like because i realised that i do like this country and couldnt be arsed with the hassle out there.

love spain and the other hot places for holidays but a lot of ppl cant actually hack it for too long (probs longer than me like!!)

its really not hard at all to get work abroad just look online most places offer accomadation too.

See me if you want a job working in the lovely Marbella on the del sol working for an Irish company in Real Estate.... fuckin top money!

Only Scruf and SiQuick are talking any sense in this thread.

Its the whole 'grass is greener' crap. Weve got it made here. People dont realise it. The only thing id move abroad for is better weather.

I think if the 'Green Grass Massive' people in this thread actually did move abroad, 95% of them would be back inside 6 months.

Fine, have a travel about if you want. But at the end of the day we have it far better than any of you are prepared to admit/realise.

I don't even think I could move away from Newcastle, never mind to another country.

I'd miss it far too much.

Tbh i'd only want to move to another country if i was loaded & didn't need to work again & could fluently speak whichever language applied! Newcastle can offer me all i need, all my friends/family are here and above all its home ! I learnt that more so being away so much in the Army....

    England
