Traumatised I have just had the worst journey to town on the metro ever in my life and I need to share my disgust on here. I was goping up to town with Helen and because Im a bum obviously I can't afford a car. We got on at monkseaton metro station and there was a group of little kids who were about 10 or 11 who were sitting where we were. One of them started saying something like Ive got some cigarettes and Helen for a joke went eee you shouldnt be smoking you are too young! He then said called her a mug or something and she tried to joke on back going rr I don't have a handle or something how can I be a mug (the type of thing you would expect ten year olds to find funny) then they started calling us bimbos n stuff n swearing...I was laughing but then they started throwing stones at us which were really pelting off us and going in our faces. Because they were so young we couldn't really do anything but then one of them rolled up a newspaper and sparted smacking us over the head with us and they were swearing and that. Helen stood up and went Im twice the height of you so I wouldnt bother trying to get violent. When she sat down one grabbed onto the bar and tried to kick her in the face with a rockport shoe on. Then they got off at suprise surpise shiremoor but one was going to split a big bit of green phlegm (sp?) on us as he got off but decided against us. I actually understand now how threatened old helpless people must feel when kids do this? There was actually nothing you could do Im disgusted! I might ring up the school or something?
Re: Re: Traumatised I mean there is cameras on the metro so if I had smacked one in the face since we are so much older we would have got in so much trouble for it! It was absolutely horrible.
If some scummy little charver tried to kick me in the face I'd boot him all over, regardless of how old he was. Shouldn't try to be hard if they can't take a hiding.
Thats terrible, glad it wasnt any worse though. I hate the metro, absolutely hate it. I would make some kind of formal complaint though, although in fairness it probably won't do a great deal in the grand scheme of things....
While I agree with that there would still be issues with the law. They exploit the fact that they KNOW they can get away with it.
Exactly! We tried every trick in the book...we know teachers at your school...our boyfriends are getting on at the nhext stop but they actually didnt care at all! The worst was when one of them was going to spit on us it was disgusting. I have a feeling one of them is the son of the head chef from my work. I wanna ask him but he might get offended if I do? What do you think?
If you give a 10 or 11 year old a good kicking there's only one place you'd end up. You can't do anything to them or you risk being put away. Jess - I'd report it to the police. They'd soon have their parents doing it to you if you'd retaliated in any way
To be honest, most of them are full of shit. I was a right little twat when I was younger (although nothing to the extent of this, I'll admit), and I'd always bring out the "well if you do, I'll get the police onto you" thing when blokes were threatening to chin me for kicking the ball in their garden or whatever. I actually wouldn't have done a thing. I'm sure an exception would be taken if the incident was recorded on CCTV anyway, if it could be seen clearly that the person kicking the little twats all over had been provoked.
I know the kid would get soo bollocked aswell if he knew what he had done I reckon I might just ask him if his son gets metro home because some1 who was called the same as his was doing that on the metro!
I'm sure the police wouldn't think that a kid throwing stones, verbally abusing, spitting on someone would warrant a beating from an adult
aww babes hope you and helen are ok, it sound shorrible what happened, i would of just cried stupid little kids
public transport in newcastle is a proper pikey fest ... the lack of proper barriers at the stations makes it even worse - any old scum can get on and off as and when they feel like it.
All the more reason to do it if he would get a bollocking. There's a lot of parents out there who would have no idea their kids were getting up to stuff like that who could do something about it if they knew. He might get worse and do something really bad to someone one day. You could be the person that helps it end before it gets to that stage
When I was on my way home last night this total charva (about 18-19) got on with a quite respectable looking older man. I was trying not to look at them or listen in but i just couldn't help but snigger to myself when he started going on in his charvesque style voice 'they all call me a rent boy cos I'm bi and since they've come off the gear they don't think it's good to be a rent boy any more' I was
I kicked off at a charver kid on the bus a few months ago for that. He had it blaring and I could hear it over my ipod, so I asked him politely to turn it down. He asked why and I said "because I can hear it, and I don't want to". He turned it off and started muttering under his breath so I called him an ugly little cunt and he shut up. Then when he got off the bus he ran past sticking his fingers up at me. What a twat.
stop acting like a twat. To be fair, I was only doing what everybody else on the bus was too scared to. Lods of people had been muttering and tutting about it for a few minutes before I asked him to turn it down. It's not as if I kicked off either, I just asked nicely and politely, and he started kicking off. Proper div.
