I hate this organasation with a passion. I remember being a 13 year old at school in Taunton, walking home, with a group of them handing stupid racist leaflets to all of us with an image of the body of some white guy who had been allegedly beaten to death by Asians, with some racist cartoon under it.

From what you hear in the media these days, i' be surprised if the current race and immigration propaganda we hear these days doesnt escalate into something very nasty.

actually even though i regard myself as neither non: right, left, centre-right, centre-left, far-right, far-left etc i like reading the gaurdian. 80 percent of the stuff in there actually interests me, rather than "man finds coin in ear, scientists baffled" crap that you get in the sun/mail/express/star/mirror. i probably couldent read it every day tho - its fucking massive, and you actually need to think to read it. rather than the metro paper where you pick it up, look at it and absorb the re-hashed daily mail news within.

however, i'm not a communist, which is basically an ignorant youth memory of my mam saying the gaurdian was a 'lefty' paper and then i learnt later in life that communists were left wing (i was only like 10 or something).

the motherland awaits me, everytime i read it.

Its a bit wierd the way people paint themselves into a corner with their own badges and labels i reckon ..... even with something as silly as the papers they read, which are mostly a heap of shit (apart from the bits in between the sensationalist, mob pandering 'articles').

My dad is quite funny, he'll sit up with us and after a few drinks he ventures a few anti immigrant, semi racist comments ..... And i must have seen one black face the whole of last weekend in newcastle. I have no idea how anyone above the midlands can foster any racist opinions at all!

I seen loads of foreign/black people, turks, immigrants (or whatever label you want to attach) in Eldon Square recently - every time i go over there seems to be more. Of course its nothing like going to London or Birmingham but its pretty obvious more are settling in the north east than before.

I got the bus to the metro the other day and I was the only white person on the bus

who give a fuck eh, I'd rather live next door to a foreign family trying to build themselves a better life than some divvy charv family who spend all day sitting out on the pavement blasting happy hardcore and drinking cans.

I do read the guardian...after all I've resided in Jesmond for 3 months now.

It was a personal joke at Brid, who has argued recently that it isn't a lefty paper and is particularly pro-labour.

I only read it because I thought I was being a hippie. :(
