    Claiming compensation

Ive got a friend who just found out they had an accident when walking across the street because of shitty tarmac and she could have claimed for compensation at the time but its too late now...they cud have just got loads of money! Has anybody here ever had like an accident at work, outside or whatever they could have claimed for?

My mate got ran over a few years back and was on the verge of dying but he's ok now. Albeit he's a little bit 'slower' than he was before but his compo sure made up for that!

Put it this way he bought a brand new house (which he kitted out big time) and car with it and was by no means skint after that

imo compo is a massive grey fucking area, a lot people abuse the system and get money for fuck all.

and claiming because of bad tarmac is one of those stupid fucking reasons, just watch where you going it aint that hard, i'm betting you could find someone to blame for any accident if you tried hard enough.

its the councils duty to keep the streets safe, if they neglect their duties and people get hurt they should be liable.

if i fell and fucked my knee and couldnt work id be suing because not everyone can prevent a trip or a fall all the time. its not a case of looking where you're going.

people tend to take this piss with compo and claim when they DONT deserve it

whiplash is probably the main scam!

put all our premiums up the wankers :wanker:

You wouldn't be complaining if you won a load of money through it, and insurance is expensive as fook anyways, it's only right people get some money back off the biggest con going!

Well said that man! If you have an accident, how can you "just find out" a couple of months later what caused it

I split my head open when i was 5 in a SOFT PLAY.

The bouncy castle started deflating, i hit my head on a bare brick wall.

Could have got a couple of grand easy (which would have came in handy at 18...) but my parents didn't claim.

Was crazy not to claim like, but bit late now

Yes unfortunatley this "not my fault" is what gets a abused

Like people who fall over through areas that are wet and claim even though there were signs there :spangled:

ive claimed compen twice. once was for salmonella from a butchers, (fawcetts) was ill like, in hospital for 4 days:( then second time someone smashed in to the back of me mates ma's car and the car doors were bent in on each other and we could'nt open the doors so me and me mate got out the windows but his ma is like 16 stone  so even if she could get out the window there was no way she was gona fit through it so we had to yank the door till it bent back, by coinsidence it was right outside a car garrage so they were very helpfull

got 3 grand for the salmonella case and 2000 n odd for the whip lash so not to bad

if there are clear signs then people shouldnt claim... its taking the piss if they do.

i hate the whole compo culture coming over from the us, but if someone has a genuine accident that someone else is liable for then claiming is a right.
