You use your laptop headphone out as your 'master' out (to your speakers or whatever) and then use this 1$ usb soundcard as your cueing/headphone soundcard. Obviously this means you need to control transport and internal mixer functions with a controller, but its a nice stopgap in case you dont want to shell out for a pricey soundcard.
basically just giving you an extra audio out init, nice! however brid, with your setup would you EVER use that technique?
Since i might play in a bar once every twelve months, i'm starting to wonder if a 1$ soundcard might be more suited to me! It does make you wonder why we even bother with pricey soundcards in the first place - who gives a stuff what your cue/headphone channel quality is like eh.

ordered one of these today, for £1.21 its worth a look. my soundcard packed up last week and is going to be the end of the month before i can afford to replace it.
arrived in the post today, piece of piss to configure and allows you to cue so job done as a temporary measure.
Get in! Glad the link was of some help eh. Maybe i should ditch my Audio Kontrol 1 for 150+ quid, and just get one of those - route my main output to my headphone socket and job is a very good one.
