EFX 1000 Problem I have an EFX 1000 rigged up to a DJM 600 at present & when I go to use an effect theres always a slight delay, nothing major but when using the trans option it sounds terrible. My 600 isn't in the best nick & have had it for about 5 years now, when I unplug the 1000 & use effects (such as the trans) through the mixer alone it always looses time after about 4/6 beats & runs out making the effect sound out of time. I run the 1000 through the Send/Return option on the 600 but using the effects through the 1000, is it my mixer thats the problem or is there a way round it? Cheers
Re: Re: EFX 1000 Problem Im sure you would mate but the only problem is id like to use it again in my own house
Re: Re: Re: EFX 1000 Problem I'm a man of my word, give me 3 months with it and i'll have it working as it should be
Re: Re: Re: Re: EFX 1000 Problem HaHa, your version of how 'you' think it should be working & mine may differ that tiny bit...
My effects button (the orange button) has been knackered for years, and also the two buttons under the digital display have been sticking for ages. Wouldnt mind getting them fixed like, dunno if its a big job or not. anyone?
if your feeling brave you could take off all the knobs and take off the top panel of the mixer so you could give it a clean, but if not DONT. i dont know the exact process but i know someone who's taken his 600 apart just to clean it out and it's still 100 percent fine
There is a shop on High Bridge Street that will sort you out if your equipment is broken, they fixed my CDJ 800 and did a good job. I can't remember the name of the place, they are opposite where the little car parking area is though If the equipment is fine, is it a cabling issue? I have a 10 yard cable (non-oxygen free) to connect my decks to my studio PC which gives a slight delay, not that it matters as it's only used for recording and not real time use
