    Sky Sports News understands that Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert is currently in talks with Newcastle over a possible summer move to Tyneside.

    The Dutch striker has been linked with possible moves to Arsenal and Manchester United after he revealed he had become disillusioned at the Nou Camp after the new regime at Barca threatened to slash his salary.

    "If Barca amend my contract and reduce my salary, it would be normal to leave. When something is signed you have to fulfil it," Kluivert said.

    The swoop from Newcastle reflects the ambitions of a club already boosted by the finacial rewards that be given to them by playing in the Champions League next season.

    With Alan Shearer entering the summer of his career and Craig Bellamy plagued by discipline problems, Kluivert would be the perfect addition to the club's squad.

    Its also been on NUFC.com and Metro News about this !!!

    Official Bacelona site also says Kluivert is free to activate his 1.8 million Euros buy out clause

    There is a good chance the Kluivert rumour/deal could happen as he has killed someone! The MURDERER would feel @ home with the rest of the toon lags.
