Unreal businessman. Only he could strip St. James's Park of it's name and sell it back for £8m. He's just renamed Ibrox 'Sports Direct Arena At Ibrox' for £2.5m according to the Daily Record. He now stands to walk away over £5m in the black and having his brand plastered all over 2 'wee clubs' up North. Incredible.
He failed to show any ambition in the summer and we have seen the effects this season. Players lacking motivation, poor performances, lack of confidence, players wanting out of the club. If you base the squad on a shoestring you have to get lucky, we got away with it last season with few injuries but paid for it this season. He had plenty of apologisers last year who jumped on his bandwagon and seemed to forget how much shit he has brought to the club, football wise we could never take that step up to the next level because of his wage cap and his addiction with his books being in the black. He is not a football man and never will be and for that reason we will never sustain any sort of relative success with him at the helm. It's totally fucking chaotic at the minute and it all starts at the top. But who cares because we are running at a profit?
Fat Mike is the circus master. The team is the performing Lion jumping through hoops, and the crowd is well the crowd. ROLL UP ROLL UP
what would you rather have, a club that operates with massive debts or one that's profitable? bear in mind what's going to be happening in europe soon..i'm sure you'll need to be fully prepared for that..
Talking to a Sunderland fan about ambition and signing quality players is like talking to a tramp about caviar, totally pointless.
