Sunderland Fans Top Of The League

The official Research Report from the FA Premier League’s Fans Survey has proved what people on Wearside have known all along – and that is that Sunderland’s fans are top of the league.
The FA Premier League Report concludes that Sunderland’s fans are:

    · The most fanatical in the country.
    · The most likely to buy their team’s replica kit
    · Are the most likely to support their local team
    · And yet have less money than supporters of other clubs.
    · Are the most likely in the country to walk to matches, have the shortest journey times and are more likely than supporters of other clubs to also watch their team’s reserve games.
    · Have 5% more female season ticket holders than the national average.
    · Are amongst the happiest in the country with regard to such things as policing, prices, food and drink, club merchandise, facilities for children and liaison with schools.
    · Are most likely to watch live games on TV and happy with the fairness of allocating tickets for away games.

The FA Premier League National Fan Survey is the largest and most comprehensive fans’ survey in the world. Sunderland fans’ have just experienced a season in which little went right on the pitch but their fanaticism demonstrates that Sunderland’s top class fans can help the club bounce back into the Premiership.

Sunderland’s fans were rated the most fanatical in the country followed by Everton, Man Utd and Arsenal with the emotional attachment to the club felt by Sunderland and Everton fans being consistent with the results of the previous survey. Sunderland supporters are also more likely to watch their team’s reserve games and along with those of Blackburn, Boro and Everton the likeliest to watch games live on TV with almost 10% of fans watching five or more live games a week.

Sunderland have 5% more female season ticket holders than the Premiership average with almost a fifth of Stadium of Light season ticket holders being women.

Sunderland has the lowest percentage of supporters earning £50,000 or over. 5% of Sunderland fans fall into this category with all clubs except Blackburn, West Brom and Everton having at least twice as many and two clubs having almost a third of their fans earning £50k. Sunderland fans are more likely than those of any club to be unemployed and SAFC fans are also the least likely to be upper middle class.

Once again Sunderland fans have been shown to be most likely to buy their team’s replica kit with 73% of fans likely to purchase. At the other extreme were the only other Premiership outfit to wear the famous red and white stripes with only 54% of Southampton fans buying their club’s strip.

As the supporters most likely to purchase replica kit, Sunderland fans are also one of five sets named as being particularly happy with the quality of club merchandise and one of four sets most content with the price of merchandise.

The FAPL National Fan Survey groups together clubs where supporters are happy or unhappy with various aspects of the matchday experience with Sunderland showing that off the pitch at least they are getting things right.

Sunderland fans along with those of Blackburn, Boro and both Merseyside clubs were happiest with policing. The success of SAFC’s policy of social inclusion and affordable football is reflected in the club being named as one of five where fans are most satisfied with pricing for senior citizens and children Sunderland and Charlton fans are the happiest with facilities for children while the same pair are part of a quartet praised for schools liaison work. .

Sunderland’s fans are also amongst seven clubs named where supporters are most content with access to food and drink

Four clubs including Sunderland are reported to have a particularly positive response from fans to pre match and half time entertainment as well as to PA announcements and entrance music.

Bri you werent even an itch then !

There's only one decent team in the North East - just face the real facts - you's couldnt even sell out for one game last season and when the seats get slightly full its away fans in the home end !

Then the Sunderland fans kick off :spangled:

FILL THE FUCKERS UP AND THEY WONT GET TAKEN THEN !

    DOH !!
