i've sold the CDJ's with the plan to buy Traktor Scratch Pro. looking about, everywhere is saying it's discontinued. a few forums have got threads about this and whether it's true. to me, it looks as though either Native Instruments are going to release an updated version of Traktor Scratch Pro in the near future, or they're scrapping it and the new Pioneer DDJ-T1 is their way of replacing it? anyone got any more info on this??
I know they have been discounting it like mad recently, and now you have the version that ships with the S4, as well as the version that will ship with the Pioneer DDJ-T1. But .... they still have a massive user base with the regular product, and there is an entire industry built around using Traktor Scratch Pro. They aint about to eliminate 90+ percent of their customers by forcing them into buying their hardware as well. .... So i'd just say either wait for the next new version to drop (which i think they have said will be based on the version that ships with the S4) or get the regular one now for the discounted price. The current discounts will just be to shift old stock.
i was going to buy the regular one but it seems everyone has sold out, there's a couple on ebay but for £500, so i think i'll just wait for the new version to come out, and if it's pricey, i might go for the Pioneer DDJ-T1
