Re: Driving Test aparrantly blyth is one of the easiest places up north to pass your test there are only a few routes. i got a corsa trip 1.2 R- Reg and it was only £1500! good runner, new respray to include bumpers lush CD/Radio system
I passed first time. My route was round Kenton at 830am. Got stuck in all the school traffic. So all i did was crawl around at 3mph for 40 mins, and passed. Winner! Ive got a Pug 206. Got a loan, and bought it brand new with free insurance. If you are thinkin of spending £5000, its worth spending a bit more and buying new. Basically, since you wont have any no claims if you have just passed, the insurance will be extortionate. The amount you save on insurance getting it free with a new car probably cancels out the extra interest on the loan. And you get a new car, with 3 years warranty. So no repair bills either.
The yaris is a fantastic small car, im not a big fan of the styling but it has an excellent engine and gives great mpg. I'd take a yaris over the corsa anyday. Calibra's are quick, but a little sloppy on the corners, tent to understeer.
I still have the celica, ur rite bout insurance. Paid £1300 1st yr, 3rd paty fire & theft. Gone down to just over a grand this (my 2nd) yr. Couldnt get less than a 2ltr car now tho. Driving my mams car is hell!!
Cheers mate, there's one just along from my work so I'd imagine it will ha much the same deals. It has posters all over offering free insurance with corsas.
COULDNT GO BACK TO A SMALL CAR NOW HAVE A BMW M5 3.2 LTR ITS A FLYER AND MY INS IS ONLY £500 THE LOT PROTECTED BUT THEN AGAIN I AM A LOT OLDER THAN THE REST OF YOU I WOULD TRY AND GET BUY A CAR WITH A DECENT SIZED ENGINE IN IT IF I WAS YOU, THEY ARE MUCH BETTER AND EASIER TO DRIVE THAN SMALL CARS IMO.
