Why do you go about him for. One is a right midfielder and the other a left midfielder, why compare them

There's better English players than Alan Thompson - the player who was released from the toon / did fuck all at Bolton and then hardlys set the world on fire @ Aston Villa !

If he was that good he would have the England place now - he hasnt and it just so happens that he's had a good couple of seasons in scotland - which may i add is the league where Rod Wallace scored 30 odd goals

There's two teams in Scotland and there both in Glasgow - if you go there as a ok ish player you normally turn out to be a fucking hero - its a good move if ya not doing ok at ya club !

Henrik Larsson is an exception - i think he's one of the only players that would actually do a job in the Premier League altho age isnt on his side now , there maybe a couple more too but i wouldnt be able to put a finger on them at the moment !

Sunderland fans are unhappy with the signing of Newcastle Utd.'s new sponsor (Northern Rock). According to news reports, sunderland fans were closing their accounts in disgust and transferring the money to the Nationwide.

It is a bit of football banter btwn me & Jambon, as Jambon likes him a LOT! I am also well aware of what postions they play. Why compare because Bowyer is midfielder who looks like we may sign & Thomma is a midfielder Jambon would like us to sign

It looks as if the Bowyer news today is that other clubs have had their offers rebuffed and the player has agreed to join Newcastle

However, that is still subject to him passing a medical, during which special attention will no doubt be paid to the ankle injury which restricted his contribution to the West Ham relegation campaign.

It would also seem pertinent to point out that Liverpool thought they had Bowyer signed up in August 2002, but he never put pen to paper.

    From PA news:

Lee Bowyer has agreed terms on a four-year deal after manager Sir Bobby Robson and chairman Freddy Shepherd flew south to meet him face-to-face after days of speculation.

Bowyer, who is now away on holiday, will undergo a medical on his return and then complete the formalities of the move.*

They go on to quote an NUFC spokesman: "Freddy Shepherd and Sir Bobby Robson met with the player yesterday to finalise matters. They are confident that Lee will be an asset to Newcastle United. with confidence as it continues to build on its recent successes in the transfer market, developing a talented array of players within its squad."
