Its so true! Fair enough if ya go ino the bad areas you are bound to get into trouble, but thats why normal people keep away! Most people who go to boro will have a decent day out depending on what they are doing! Plus the surrounding areas of boro and teesside can be absolutely fantastic, right on the coast, NY moors and vast woodland... and who called us all smog monsters!:D

I hate it if you've been to Boro for some shop-shop and have a couple of pints, then have the horror of the bus ride back to Newcastle whilst tryin not to piss yourself:eek:

    Real horrorshow:(

i think boro's quite an ok place... its just the inhabitants that ruin it.

    boro is a fucken dive.
theres nowt there for anyone, except diseases.
    been twice in me life
once to buy a suspect car cd player from a paki (whilst he was fitting it randoms kept turning up with more of them, and it also had someones CD already in, which surprised him more than me!)
and the second time i went on a charve cruise and we went to see the pro's. reality shock.
and that fcuken transporter bridge is useless too.

the place is a dive and the people are even worse. its a shocking shocking place for anyone. i wouldnt even want saddam there (although his mates prob live there like)

Get real nob, theres much worse places in this country.

Ok, cheers for sticking up for boro with me Aaron, if we don't no one else will!

P4cks, I appreciate you were making a joke, but I do get sick of people slagging the place where I was born and grew up. It is not a bad place overall, it has bad areasand bad people but where doesn't, just read my earlier posts on this thread to see my point of view. Its not just the fact you slagged the place, it was when you said 'and the people are even worse'. That is hinting at me, my family and my friends. I am not a scumbag and rarely go out of my way to offend anyone so when someone does it to me I feel the right to have a go.

But anyway you said you didn't mean to hit a nerve so I won't rant at ya, its forgotten already mate!. :)

i've lived in yarm just outside boro for 20+ years bar a couple spent in newcastle whilst @ uni and i have to say i'm not gonna miss the place that much when i move away next year.

the only thing that will bring me back is my season ticket at the riverside. :D

boro takes a fair deal of slagging off, some of it just, some of it not... either way it is certainly no monte carlo, but neither is the toon. ;)

Yeah n this isnt in Middlesbrough! Nearly all the chemical works and steel works are in Billingham, Seal Sands (Hartlepool/Stockton) and Redcar!
