i thought tarantino only co-wrote and starred in from dusk till dawn - wasn't one of his 'own' directed movies - hence the trailer for Kill Bill Vol.1 "Tarantion's 4th film"

i heard it dragged a bit. will wait till i see it.

From Dusk till Dawn was directed by Robert Rodriguez i think the bloke that did Desperado , MI2 and Face Off :)

i think volume 2 is taratino's poorest film!

it isn't a patch on volume 1...had some quite boring chapters that were dragged out for far too long!the only chapter that kept me entertained 100% was the one where she was getting trained!

it annoyed me how the storyline was so well explained by the characters...we're not retards and could figure it out!

    was still worth watching though!:)

i think he wrote the story - but someone else did the screen play. or vice versa. some film-spotter will correct me.

yeah, he did that and Desperado- but MI2 and Face off were John Woo of 'hard boiled' fame.

yeah thta's right..he's wrote and acted in loads of films like from dusk till dawn and true romance, but a lot are just ordinary!

It was a good fun film, the dialogue got tedious - but the cinematogrophy was in a league of its own... some of the greatest black and white shots since the film noir era.

he's class in desperado. the way he tells that joke to all the mexicans in the bar while drinking the piss beer... he does good cameos. freaky looking fucker.

the black and white scences and the cartoon scences were much better in volume 1 imo!

Need to see this, am waiting until I have done the prequel first. Quite looking forward to it too - names whose opinions I respect have been giving it the thumbs up, here and elsewhere.

The way he uses the Japenesse style directing in the training of her is funny, boarding on the stupid, but still good!!

the one shot where she was framed by the door @ the wedding was fucking amazing, it was a very nice break form the standard colour saturated hollywood films, I think tarrentino brings an element of realism to high budget shooting techniques... although choosing which was the prettier of the films would be very hard.

Saw Kill Bill Vol 1 for the first time ever last night....

.... reminded me of any number of the Anime films i used to watch back when i was a nipper,... they all ripped off various ideas from world cinema and created an extremely far fetched plot to hold them all together...

... Kill Bill is like that :)

Not a bad film by any means, but this idea was done over a decade ago by the Japanese :)
