Suppose you're right in some respects, but I can't see much of any money that is generated being given to McCarthy unfortunately. There have been a few key players that you've lost over the last few seasons, Kevin Phillips, Sorensen, but more importantly for me Reyna and Hutchinson. Hutchinson you can argue maybe was a good sale after all, you got £5m for a 30 year old who has done sod all since, but even I was disappointed to see Reyna go as he did have a lot of creative flair and was certainly a good crosser of the ball, which appears to be all but lost now. Haven't seen much of the new signings if I'm totally honest, but I will reserve my judgement until I see them properly!
yeah we HAD to sell those tho basically was a case of get rid of the high earners...wage bill had to be slashed. i do think we have a DECENT team at the minute....but we NEED goalscorers.....cant do much without em money has to be made available..even if only a few million to get just sum1 gud enuff to score the goals in 1st div..
Its fustrating with ameobi!! He's proven himself for the england under 21's but isnt good enough for the premiership, reminds me of Huckerby.
Many players have done well for the under 21s and then ended up spending most of their career in the 1st/2nd division. Only way i see it going personally.

Apart EVERY TEAM in the PREMIERSHIP being ABOVE Sunderland, here are the teams in the 1st that are above them: West Brom - 2nd worst team in the West Midlands, only Walsall are worse. GREAT CUP TEAM! Sheff Utd - They are from Yorkshire & every club in Yorkshire is skint & crap Norwich - A bunch of farmers Wigan Athletic - A rugby league team Sunderland - BEST TEAM IN COUNTY DURHAM, 3RD BIGGEST CLUB IN THE NORTH EAST! Not exactly the cream of football is it?

Agree with that list mate aye - i was takin piss (obviously!!) but in all seriousness I do believe that list of 9 is about right.... At least you see sense and dont class you's as top 3 etc Not sure about those lot bein better than us mind...think I wud maybe agree with Utd (sometimes) but as for the rest..think bubbles will burst soon enuff... How can any fucking Mackem say anything when Sunderland were officially the worst team to ever be in the Premiership ? They were relegated, something that will not happen to Newcastle and they were shit - in fact there still shit ! If Sunderland were as good as people are making out they would be running away with it - which there not Yeah Newcastle got beat off a team who i think will win the Premiership, yeah they played shit but at the end of the day its more satisfying getting beat off a Premiership team of millions and millions than a fucking team full of peasants in the Nationwide ! Its not even an argument - Newcastle have done the North East proud for years, Boro have even gone then come back and stayed - Sunderland hmmmmmm lets see !!!

i had to leave the pub at half time due to depression setting in & i knew it was only going to get worse!!!!! the toon need to start playin gfooty like we can & have done in the past..... we looked poor up front...is this cos we had no shearer...the fuckers who play for the toon need to not rely on shearer cos he ain't going to b around forever..... lets hope we fair better on thurs or we're fucked big style!
