I don't consider Elton or Moore as extremists, they're merely a medium to expose the wrongs america do to a large audience - so if they make money out of it isn't really an issue they do far more good than bad where as say bp are purely in it for themselves.

consider this....

1. massive amounts of oil in the western states of what used to be USSR, but its no use as there's no way to get it out to the west... the only cost effective way is through Afghanistan... problem is the Taliban won't have any of it.

2. massive amount of oil in Iraq but no use because we can't get to it because of UN sanctions against saddam.

Solution... mad evil islamics fly planes into world trade center, few thousand people die (human life not worth that much really so just a minor blip on the balance sheet), towers fall down (bugger, probably not expecting that, but still reconstruction costs will generate loads of new jobs). George Bush emerges as shining sword of freedom and democracy (people really believe this shit *shakes head in dismay*), "attack on our freedom/democracy/way of life"... perfect excuse to invade and "liberate" the overland pipeline route/Afghanistan from the nasty Taliban (hope everyone's forgotten we helped put them there in the 1st place) and destroy Al Queeda (note: make sure we don't get or kill Bin Laden, he's still useful) and then Iraq (excuse is wearing paper thin now but will just about hold)..... get the oil out + massive, and I mean massive, reconstruction projects handed out to Bush's mates in Industry, loads of jobs n cash for the US...


balance sheet on the whole deal, billions and billions of dollars for US, oceans of new oil, few wogs dead/crippled for life (no-one will really care).

FACT: the US knew that a massive terrorist attack was imminent all summer and did nothing about it. Now you know why.

I'm truly sorry that 3000 American human beings died, but in the time it took me to type this so did the same number of human beings in the 3rd world .... who's crying for them today??
